Had an hour in one last night, test driving for a new company car. F*ck me, it's quick. 260+ lb-ft from 1800 - 3000 rpm ;-)
Did a couple of impromptu roll-ons in 4th gear from a steady 50 to 70mph, average 5 seconds!! FYI, 4th gear = 26mph / 1000rpm.
Excellent interior, cossetting and airy, all the bits as standard (climate, CD etc) even on the base spec, and it's only 20.5K OTR. Usual Volvo dead pedals but steers and handles very sweetly.
Anyone considering a performance diesel, or can't afford a 330d could do a lot worse than have a go in one ...

True -- but think of the stealth value! No-one's gonna want to nick it ... and great for p*ssing people off when they realise they've been overtaken by a Volvo ...
