Question

I'm on a quest to find an old-ish (late 70's) motor with serious power/easy torque but with fairly discrete looks...

Will be kept fairly permanently as a second/third car, aim is to have something that won't lose its value.

After watching Ronin at the weekend I think a 450 6.9 could be a winner....

Any one had any driving/owning/purchasing experiences with one of these?

I'd also be keen to to most of the maintenence myself (although I undestand the suspension is a little 'tricky'

Hehe - that's when I first heard about them...
It was up there with the HispanioSuiza or whatever it was called.

(Why do I still remember at least half the stats over 20 years later when I can't remember my mobile number?)

there's a guy writes for classic and sportscar who had one a couple of years back (Martin ???).

He said it was fantastic but cost a fortune in petrol. He also mentioned Ronin.

Hunt the Shunt had his up on bricks cos he couldn't afford to run it. Used to cycle everywhere in his later years.

Thumbs up

No 450s here, but it's worth a look anyway for some tasty mid-80s S-class Mercs and a '63 split-screen 'vette .... yes please ...
