Noticed today in the Sunday rags that Vauxhall are offering spanking new VX220's (alongside the new special edition Corsa and Astra) on 0% finance.

At launch there was all sorts of hype about most of the production run (1000?) being pre-sold, and expected waiting lists. Looks like there are still plenty lying. What happened? At the last NEC Motor Show, CrisPDuk and I both agreed that the VX was the bonniest looking car we had sat in all day. I love 'em.

Spoke to a good pal today, an accountant who has just managed the annual audit on reputedly the biggest Vauxhall dealer in the midlands (Greenhouse). Their tally of VX220 sales to date? One.

I think I know why the VX220 is not selling well. It is one of two things:
1) A bloke in Y's advertising it.
2) It looks crap compared to an elise.

Olly mate, what you really need is a good woman, she will soak up all your spare cash, thus stopping you worrying about how many cars you need to own.
