Nothing wrong with them
Is it a jealousy thing that you need treatment for
Strangly I'm drawn to the mactan now as a performance crossover as I'm getting to old and stiff for cayman / 911
Although it will always have the gay hairdresser / small ***** /mid life crisis / too much money & finance / can't afford a Ferrari Lambo image
But they make some fantastic cars

Yeah I must admit I've never seen the appeal.
I watched the top gear episode last night where they take the GT3, 458 and SLS to America. Why anyone spending that sort of money would choose the Porsche over the other 2 is beyond me . Even where it's supposed to shine I.e on a track, the 458 is still leaps and bounds ahead of it.
I've no doubt they are brilliant to drive, but I want my car to at least look half decent if it's costing me that amount of money, not the same as it did 30 years ago.

I wouldn't say I necessarily hate Porsches but I'm not sure I could own one. Unless you've got the money for one of the weapons grade versions they don't feel particularly special places to be. Then there's the various engine issues in the previous 2 generations of 911/Cayman/Boxster, certanly doesn't fill you with confidence.

I had a 996 911 turbo, fabulous car and the worst thing I ever did was sell it so I could run both a fast Merc and a much modded Impreza. I'm on the look out for another one, but prices have rocketed lately.
I'm sure that most people who say they hate Porsches have a) never owned one, or b) never driven one, or worse c) never even been in one!

Good point - don't believe everything you read on the interwebs. Here's our family fleet - 82k on the hawkeye (30k by me in the last 14 months) and 120k on the 996. Both doing well
As for the 911 - this one is a lesser or common 996.2 C2, with the wrong roof and the wrong gearbox. It's still a real treat to drive though...
