the problem with electric cars (or anything electric imo) is that the power available from the battery is not linear
so from full power (100% battery) to half is fine, but the last 50% does deteriorate very very rapidly to the point that the last 25% it is pretty much useless
Last week I was using an electric "gator" to drive over some off road tracks - all day, great but as soon as the power level dropped below 40% it was useless, and we actually has to push it a bit - let it cool right down and it just managed to crawl back to base
I don't know how they present the mileage figures - imo they should only use from Full to 50% - that would give a better view of the usability/range

What dealer did you buy it from mate ? Ive driven loads of them and totally enjoy the experience, but I do think they are mainly a around town car at the moment.

I think ,at the moment at least, that its a case of available technolgy dictating the style and function and shape, of the vehicles available to the public.Power plant technology , whether battery , hydrogen fuel cells etc will enable design to follow a more aesthetic approach which, at the moment , isnt available

Yes exactly. We can buy electric hybrids that plug into the mains and all well and good. And where and what supplies the electric for that charge? Prob fossil fuels , which one day , will run out , dead cert. So car manufacturers must look further into other fuel types .

Agreed and as I said, all credit to you for buying into an alternative form of technology. There's a time and a place for electric cars, lIf it works for what you need then fair play.
Think you may or may not have missed the point. EVs reduce emissions at the actual point of use, power stations don't tend to be in towns/cities these days.

They look better in real life than the pictures and in the right colour they are ok. Drove great upto 60-70 mphand handling surprisingly good.
I nearly got one as my company car as most days my commute is 46 miles at most but it just didnt work for the longer journeys.
Cost wise it really stacked up given the emissions.

Some bellend nearly drove into me in one of these earlier, took a corner too quickly and their car skidded onto my side of the road.
They are funny looking cars I have to say.
