Seat Ibiza Mk4 2003 Tdi. Problems Power steering-no start !
Son has a 2003 Ibiza Mk 4 1.9 tdi. He phoned this evening to say that the power steering had failed. Leaving a car park on the RAF base where he is , turned right and no power steering. All electrics OK. Is it a belt that powers the PS ?
BUT
it gets worse…
he also said engine now won't start again, just a whirr as if a duff battery but don't think that is the cause.
I assume the PS failing and no start are related. He will have a look in the daylight tomorrow but any pointers would be much appreciated.
