Mine has the 8 speed sport auto (the DCT is the 7 speed semi auto I think?) and it's freaking brilliant! SO fast on the upshift and never puts a cog wrong. The paddle shift is actually useful too rather than just a silly extra like it was on the 335d.
Anyway, the N55 engine is awesome - I noticed it makes very subtle "dump valve" noises when you push it and at high revs is really screams; you'll love it!
Edit - The 35is actually has the bi-turbo N54 unit, not the twin scroll single turbo N55 one!

I was going to wait for the course until I got the car - Or should I get pre-booked so I can drive like a knobend from the off .
Been practicing my "non acknowledgment" if someone lets me out of junctions for a couple of weeks - got it pretty good .

I seriously considered one of them back when the deals were so good but it's just not big enough for 2 plus new arrival! Got rid of my coupe for that reason too!
This is a 330d xDrive, which I pretty much stuck the entire option catalog on lol! Was tempted with the 335d but I'll rarely get to use the performance of the 330 in the crowded roads my way so spent the extra cash on more gadgets! Plus it's hardly slow at sub 5.5 to 60 also in the back of my mind having had an e92 330 which was really pick of the performance vs mpg in the range I was also concerned the new 335 might be like the old - good published figures but in real life a fair bit off the 330!
Anyway, waffle over lol!

How are you finding the X-drive copes with nasty conditions?
I have two kids and a wife but the van is our load carrying beast.
I could do with the kids stopping growing though...!

People will say its common but I've always adored Estoril I'm very impressed with the ride coming from my e92 18s on non rft to these 19" rft's, they obviously come on a bit
The adaptive sus helps, comfort is great with the little un in the car, but sport firms it up when it's time for fun with just me!
Not had much call to test the xDrive yet in bad weather, but even normally the dsc light flashes lots less and much less "waggle" than my old one! You can also floor it out of a junction and it just grips and goes which is useful (assuming the stop start doesn't kick in so you miss your gap!).
Fav things so far though are the full colour HuD and Active Stop/Start Cruise.
So much still to learn though!!
I quite fancy one of your vans when the little un gets a bit old I must admit

What colour leather did you go for (can't quite tell in the photo)?
Is active cruise like in the new Golf? I didn't think BMW had it yet!
Off for a month in the van on the 27th to Santander then who knows where (weather dependent!); should be fun!
