Punto rocker gasket
Hi guy's, I have a 1.2 punto and they are pretty good at going through rocker gaskets . A few weeks back we changed the gasket due to a bit of a leak but then a week later it did the same. All was fine for another week but it has done the same again .
My question is, when we do it again tomorrow should we use lot's of instant gasket along with the gasket or just a bit or none at all? The previous times we have been using a small amount in a few key places but not to sure what to try this time.
We have not tried a original Fiat gasket yet so will be doing so this time but would really like this to be the last time. I was also wondering weather or not to use lock tight this time but with it needing doing on a regular basis maybe not a good idea.
Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.
Chris.

yeah you wanna look for something called 'c4' its a sealant that reacts to an electrical charge and will sort that punto right out, make sure you use plenty of it to get a good seal
lol, sorry not much help but could resist,,, hahaha

Hi John, thanks for the reply, have had a look and it did need a bit of a clean and the bit of the breather that goes to the air filter wasn't on. There is also a bit of pressure coming from the oil cap ie blowing a bit but how much is acceptable?
Also need to know whether or not to use instant gasket along with the gasket and how much if any? We have previously used a bit in a few area's but not sure what to try this time.
I know it's only a punto but it just needs to get me by for a while till I sort out the money for a build

I only ever did one on a Subaru where we managed to knock out the half round plugs when doing a gearbox swap. Cleaned up the old sealant and used high temp silicone aiming for a continuous bead. Obviously you don't want so much it blocks or clogs things. Factory manual may say if sealant should be used? A fair pressure from the oil cap is normal, on turbos you have to consider the PCV valve but your car is presumably normally aspirated.
