As a scooby newby I dont know if you guys know of www.bookatrack.com (forgive my ignorance if you do). They're organising a track day at Elvington airfield near York on 6/4/02.
I'm trying to get hold of some track wheels/tyres and if succesfull will almost certainly attend. Anyone fancy boosting the scooby ranks?

I went to Elvington late last year and it was a great day out.

Best thing is if you f*ck up there's not really owt to hit!

I think we'll be going again actually, then my mate can give his EvoVI some stick before he sells it. Dunno whether to take mine or not?!

Also, that V6 Clio (see other marques thread) will be there too, so we can all laugh at him as he spends all day spinnning it!!!

See ya there...

I may go as it's near me.
Not gonna race the new car on the track though!

Definitely need spare wheels at Elvington-it's concrete so quite grippy but very abrasive. The only places you can get into bother are the hairpin before the start/finish(spectators cars parked a bit close),an abondoned snack wagon after the start/finish and after the first long 100mph or so straight a 90degree bend that's quite close to a fence/field.Apart from that it's very safe.
