YORKSHIRE MEET
Place: Xscape, Castleford, W Yorks
time: Sunday January 28th 12pm afternoon onwards.
Jap gathering, chinwag, cuppa and maybe a bit of grub. Tell al jap peeps about it get ya sens down there!!

Do you have permission from Xscape for this?
They're notorious for sending out the bouncers / calling the Police if more than two cars park up and the owners start chatting. They've had words with me on more than one occasion. Almost had a camera confiscated for taking a pic of a mates car with the building in the background. They quoted some image copyright boiiocks.
Given how busy the car park gets on a weekend I think a change of venue may be a good idea.

i have heard such things but we had a very large 300zx meet with tens of cars and nothing got said so i assumed that they found it acceptable not sure what other venue would be suitable in the castleford area

well put it this way the head of security for xscape is attending in his celica!
im just waiting for a email off the GM, the security man has sorted this with the GM and is getting him to pull his finger out and send me the email!!
If not i have definite permission off ferrybridge services who have offered us full use of the lorry park and will even provide me with discount food and drinks vouchers for everyone, so this meet is happening whatever.
I understand the need to get a definite venue but the general opinion from other clubs is wanting it at xscape so just waiting for that email.

hi guys
slight up date on this meet, due to unwelcome attention from certain other sites we have now secured the meet at FERRYBRIDGE SERVICES off the M62, the management are even providing us with discounted vouchers for food and drink and offering us full use of the lorry park. THIS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED WITH THE SERVICES GENERAL MANAGER.
If you need any further info please pm me.
After numerous polite requests to the site in question to feel free to come over and have a look and to respect our meet, we were given verbal abuse accusing us as singling them out due to being a cruise site and basically telling us to sod off as it was a public car park, therefore i feel it is in the best interests of our meet to change the venue.
Please can we apply discretion guys as to what sites infomation on this meet is posted on as all we want is a safe and enjoyable jap meet.
Hope this has not caused too much inconvenience the venue is however in the same vicinity as the xscape so will not mean any further traveling for you
