Rip Off Britain
Welcome to Rip Off Britain.
Been to dealers over here in States they have a 2006 STI with SPI pack? dont know what that is, with Turbo Gauge and front spots fitted at $395. Car priced at $34,000 so 19,000 pounds(sorry no pounds sign on this USA lap top.
Any takers? only problem is LHD and importing. Sure I could order a RHD, and Oh my brother can get a discount, via work.

Dont you pay more for just about everything else over there though? Council tax, police, fire services and no national health! + no holidays for workers, and lower average wages, bigger crime, and fatter people

Having lived in Japan, I think stuff is over priced here especially cars.
check out this URL
http://www.subaru.co.jp/forester/stiversion/lineup/
that price is 3,150,000 Yen which is subject to 5% tax which equates to 3,307,500 yen which at 209 yen to the pound is:
£15,768
The cost of living is lower in Japan as is petrol 50 pence per litre and food!
However, Japan in summer is unbareable, 30c and 83% humidity today, plus they have earthquakes, typhoons, mosquitos and a motorway speed limit of 60mph (some sections are 45mph, eep)!
I'm just waiting for my wife to get home sick (after 8 years here whats the chance of that?) then we can move back there!

You sad git posting while on your hols !!
Hope your "having a nice day"
LOL
Yes thanks. I may be on hols but at brothers and computer in my room so I am just keeping up with the gossip.
Chris, yes they do get taxed on stuff and health etc, but wages seem ok and everything barr white goods and furniture are cheaper. Its the swings and roundabouts. Spoke to brother and he can get 15% off price. That is the main thing over here no one pays full price, there is always a bargain to be had if you look.
