I have spoke to Andy regarding a group mapping session for 4 cars fitted with an Apexi power fc. Its looking like the back end of July as my car is off the road while new parts are being fitted.

He will be travelling down and stopping over for 1 night so thats 2 cars a day being mapped.

If anyone one is interested then please add your names or pm me. Below is Andys email stating prices etc.


1. Do you have any days in June free
Available dates from the 16th of June.

2. What would the price be for 4 cars inc vat etc
Normally £240+vat + £280 total for travelling and overnight stop to split
between the 4 cars £70 each if I'm coming down to you. That adds up to
£352 per car. I would do it for £320 total per car.

3. What deposit do you need and when
Just the travelling cost needs to be paid up front. Either a cheque,
paypal or bank transfer would be fine.

4. Were would the mapping be done
Local motorways if I'm coming to you. Mainly 3rd gear stuff.

I'd be interested mate but I've got a newage and would be looking to do a tek3 remap for my 53 plate sti. Planning on adding a decat and new exhaust.

Dont know whether Andy could fit me in or whether the charge would be the same but would happily split his travel costs. He did a brilliant job to my Classic using the Apexi though.

Where abuots are you looking for him to come T5OLF?

Well i`ve been looking at something like the Apexi Power FC with Commander for my 2001 WRX Bugeye, but from what i can see they only do this ecu for up to the 2000 classic model.

So it looks like i`m up for the Ecutek 3...

Just a question, is the Ecutek 3 just a remap on the original ecu, or a replacement ecu which is then mapped...?

So if you could get a price for that aswell for me that would be great.

I`m in Sheffield by the way, same as Gatecrasher.

You will need the same as me mate (Tek3). It maps the existing ecu rather than replacing it like the Apexi.

Your first one will be the expensive one as you will need to buy the license. Mine was £650.00 @ TSL but subsequent maps are obviously a lot less.

I`ve just emailed Andy on some advice on whats the best mods to get before he comes to map.

I`ve got the cold air induction kit and fully decatted 3" exhaust system.

Getting the oil temp, pressure and boost gauges fitted this weekend but wanted to know if he thinks i should also have the APEXI AVC-R boost controller fitted aswell, so i`ll let you know when i get a reply.

Also says on the site about group deals on Ecutek 3 maps.

So hopefully we can get a good group deal for Andy to come and sort our cars out.....

Yes I'm in too mate assuming he can do the Tek3 remap but was working to T5OLF's timescale. Says on his original post that his car is off the road until July. This suits me better as I'm thinking about whether to go for a 20G turbo or not.

I'm 2 minutes away from T5OLF incidentally (Skipton) although I dont think we've ever met. Is yours a blue one with gold alloys mate?

Will work around everyone else although at this rate we'll get 8 and can probably split the mapping days over two sessions ..... those willing to wait until July and those who want something a little sooner. Just an idea.

I have a red ra mate never comes out much. To be honest i may be ready sooner than July, i have to finish off my front mount and finish porting my headers, i work 4 on 4 off but i'm also trying to finish my kitchen before the wife leaves me(which would give more time i suppose)

I think we need a date sorting out that we all agree to asap so we all have something to aim for.

I wonder if the weekend of the 24th and 25th of June is free..

Cause the weekend before is the Northern Big One @ Lightwater Valley on Sunday the 18th and on Sunday the 2nd of July is the JAP Show at Thoresby, and i`m going to both of these...

For the mapping session with the Apexi Power FC already fitted is £320

And the cost for the Tek 3 Remap is £657.50

Both those prices include VAT and the travelling and accomadation charges Andy requires. (£70 each for the travelling)

I'm guessing that the mapping session for the Tek 3 would be the same as the Apexi mapping session (ie £320.00)

If so not a problem but I'll have to get cracking with the mods.

I already have the Tek 3 license mate-paid £650.00 @ TSL last year. The first one is the expensive one and tweaks are usually a lot less. I'd expect it to be in line witha remapping session for the Apexi but will probably need Andy to confirm so there are no surprises. Certainly wont be £657.50 though!!
