Oulton Park today
Just to say a big thanks to Martin Sti (not Warren ) for giving me a trackday today at Oulton for a massive discount The weather was diabolical, the track was full of numpties in 911's and M3's thinking they are driving gods, and it took ages to get my tuition sorted, but I had a great time this morning. My first session of 5 laps was great, I've been round Oulton a few times in the past, but never on my own, and I was smiling a lot
It hasn't stopped raining all day, so I didn't bother taking any pictures, then when I got home, I realised I'd left the memory card behind
Thanks again Martin
chris.

Would have popped over but decide to do the honroable thing and go shopping with the wife to sainburys.
At least with wet weather you put less wear on your tyres.
You will find most porsche drivers think they are god on the track, but often have little or no idea of the proper lines. Easily caught and passed I often find.
We will be seeing you are any more this year now? We need to orgainise one at Elvington for the end of the year for all of us to go on.
(And I do not mean orgainise one ourselves, Mr CW)

Martin, that was the beauty of today, speeds low, very wet, no tyre wear or thrashing the car. Instructor actually put on my instruction sheet about "mechanical sympathy" 10/10 and said "you'll never trash a car with the way you drive"
super:
what does that mean?
Not sure about elvington though, very far away for a trackday, hopefully mykp is sorting something out for a trackday in the summer, with a bit of fun thrown in for those that don't want to go on track

I think its another case of super's "werbel diarrheoa" kicking in again (read in blackadder 2 german voice done by hugh laurie when blackie and melchet are imprisoned! ).
Im guessing a translation would be "will we be seeing any more of you this year now" at Oulton park trackdays?

It was the wine talking - you cheeky gets.
"you'll never trash a car with the way you drive" - other than putting it into a hedge!

Who's The Numpty in The Black
Your welcome Chris, no point in wasting the place. That would be
Well was my first trackday and what a day it was.
Thought I had FOOKED the car up though after that off at Druids.
I wasnt letting the 911 Turbo get the better of me.(but it did)
Was own fault, wouldn't mind had, had instructor only 4 laps earlier telling me not to come on the power till car had exited and come over that little crest other wise would be unbalanced and could spin.
I knew better and collected the mud to prove it at about 80mph, had a bit of sweat on brow when saw barriers coming closer.
After that wheel balances where all over the place at 70mph, so thought I had bent something so called into Prosport late on and Pete told me to call in Saturday.
On the way home though I called in to jet spray the car and get all the mud off. Well once I had cleaned all the wheels the car was perfect again going up the M67.
So no damage, phoned Pete and Chris to confirm it was all the mud in the wheels that had been unbalancing the wheels.
I still haven't stopped smilling, was a great day and will defo do again.
Have sent Chris pics to post due to dont know how.

Actually thought Sh1111111111111t as I saw barriers but was lucky to gain control quite far away and just got back on track with a to marshal.
Just put power on to early, and backsde let go.
