Steven and myself were looking to rekindle the York Scooby meet we used to have on the first Monday.

It died away for many reasons - not least of which the venue was pretty pants!!

I have a suggested venue which is the Three Cups pub in Stamford Bridge which is central and has a big car park and better food than that other place...

We'd be there if poss, although monday nights would be difficult, babysitters school, work etc. Friday nights would be better if any good for anyone

I thought the food at Buckles was OK, especially the large haddock. Sort a venue and day and I'll try and drag the WYIOC up for a visit

Fridays not good for me

 

The food at the Buckles used to be excellent. IMO there was never anything wrong with the location, although some did complain for whatever reason.

Last time we ate at the 3 Cups David, it was utter cr4p, although it was a good while ago.

Let me know if you manage to rekindle the meet.

it sounds like half the people hated Buckles and half loved it! I was clearly listening to the wrong half.

I am happy to go to Buckles - the haddock was very good indeed.

Friday sounds like a wrong 'un to me - lets see how much interest we get and then take it from there
