Dunno, remember the big black cloud and big bang we had from my beast... at Warrington the other Saturday, didn't drive it again after got home until Tuesday afternoon ( as was away ) but on Wed had loads of noise on knocklink / Apexi pfc ... got so bad even gentle throttle off boost was giving big reds and over 93 on PFC recording!!!

Wednesay evening, checked MAF, injectors, plugs, coil packs ... hard to start and when did was like a jet engine ... left a 10 foot trail on drive! Dunno of what!

Off to API on Thurs for STi4 rebuild with steel rods ... good for over 420 bhp apparently )))

I saw a post of Neils asking about fitting an STi3 motor, plus his location says 0bhp at the moment so I put 3 and 0 together and got, erm, 3.

 

Wonder what caused that then? I suppose you'll have to wait for API's verdict.

 

Aye, sticky injector, maybe failing maf ( seems oK on my tests tho' ),
Knock activity seems not to have been det ( as did it when stationary with no load when blipping throttle to 3000 rpm! ) but some noise inside engine .. misfire etc. ?

As you say, wait 'till midle of next week when they took her apart.
