I'm thinking of a weekend of beer, winding country scenic roads, campfire, music, scoobs and out and out fun !
Lake district, Anglesey, or suggestions peeps ?

Mellow,

Count me in. But I'll have to buy a tent!

Lake district sounds like a good idea, plenty of scenery and twisty bits.

As a side line, I've seen your posts re upgrading brakes. If you do, can I have your old ones as nobody will sell me theirs?
I always get beaten to it .

Cheers
Rich

MY,

Lakes camping trip sounds like a top idea.

I know plenty of top roads up there if you need any help planning routes, etc.

I wanted to go on the Wales trip but didn't notice it was on until last week and cannot re-arrange other commitments.

I take it you sold your 17" P1 wheels and so didn't accept my bargain basement offer? - Well it was worth a try!

Enjoy the P1 and let me know if you ever want to do a straight swap for something slower like a MY2000

Cheers,

Ian.

Ian,
Sorry I didn't get back to you re; wheels, no I haven't sold them, let down as expected, may have to keep hold of them now coz I need to realise as close to £900 to allow me to purchase the 18's (wife wont have it any other way.)
Spk soon m8.

OK, a few things to sort out.
1. The Lakes looks to be the place to go.
2. Are we to make this a family affair, ie; offspring etc..
3. The event would consist of a brill run on the Saturday, ending up at a favourable campsite with nearby facilities, followed by Sunday brekkie and another run out.
4. Due to the up coming holiday season, can you give me feedback on good/bad times, ie; June/July/August etc..

I will then start to seek out a suitable site (let me know any special requirements) and route/run plans.

I may be up for a weekend in the Lakes but it all depends upon the date you choose.

P.S. Rich, I see you've being doing a few modifications since the Well Lane rolling road shootout.

Rich,

From memory I did'nt go to NM5 because I was pi??ed up from the night before, which is why I replied to this initial posting as it includes a night on the beer!

As far as mods go I now have a SS M/S and D/P, Quickshift and I've just fitted some broquets last weekend.

I am with you Rich as too would prefer anytime in July or August. (except 27-29th July as I am on a Stag do in Amsterdam).

Damian.

Hi Damian,

I remember you from Well lane. Were you at NM5? I didn't see you.

OH YES! mods galore with many more planned.
Got my boost solenoid cleaned so I'm running solid 12-13psi instead of 9!

Magnex centre, cold air pipe, boost gauge, SO2s, carbon fibre retrim, resonator box removed, white dials, downpipe ordered, brakes next job. Have you done owt?

Sorry to hijack the thread to blow my own tuning trumpet, Mellow.

Re the weekend, I'll go anywhere, do anything, as long as it's in July/August.
June is madness for me - loads on. I have no sprogs of my own but no objections to a family do, I might bring my brother (21).

Cheers Rich

MY,

Dates I can't make are the 2nd -> 9th June (TT without any racing ) and the last week in July (because I'm already on hols in the Lakes that week!)

I went to a good campsite near to Keswick (just off the A66) a few weeks ago. They've got a top on site cafe which is quite handy I'm not sure if they'd accept groups though.

I've also stayed at a larger site at Pooley Bridge (top of Ullswater) several times which is excellent.

Keep nagging the wife to let you buy the 18" wheels - I don't want your old ones when the tyres are worn out

Cheers,

Ian.

Mine's a pint of Snecklifter!

Ian, what's up with my tyres..
Charlie Whisky, bearing in mind the excellent Welsh weekend and help/support/input would be greatly appreciated m8.
Clarey, your right, a bit difficult "knock - caravan - door - runaway " with kids in tow !
I'll be taking a trip up to the lakes over the next couple of weeks to have a mooch around, roads, sites etc...if anyones interested.

MY,

I should be up in the lakes Spring Bank weekend. Not sure if I'll be in the Scoob or on the motorbike. Let me know if you want to meet up.

If you still want to sell the wheels & tyres then let me know.

Cheers,

Ian.

Michael,

I'd normally take the Mountain Bike up but everywhere off road in the Lakes seems shut due to Foot & Mouth.

OK.
I'll be "popping "up to the lakes tomorrow (Monday) although prob busy, I'll be seeking the quiet roads, I'll then be going up mid-week, week commencing 4th June (Dreamweaver, fancy being a passenger that week to help recce ?).
Thoughts on dates are as follows; 14th & 15th July, 21st &22nd July, 28th &29th July. OR 4th &5th August Or 1st &2nd Sept.
Check these dates out peeps and give me some feedback.

Unfortunately I am on holiday from 21 July to 5 August. Therefore I would prefer 14 July or 1 Sep if possible.

Cheers

I'm going up to the lakes for a recce one day next week and the week after, (dream weaver if you fancy coming up as passenger we'll recce together ) As for when........any weekend in July, or the first weekend in August or the first weekend in September, give me some feedback on prefered dates, register your "serious" intention of making it and I'll start the hard work !

Mellow!

put me down for either date (at the moment). Any idea about the Grand Prix(?) on that weekend (in case we need an accommodating pub to finish in!).
