Guys,
Anyone interested in a meet up at York.
Doesnt seem to be that much going on in this area so if a meet up at one of the out of town shopping car-parks and a run out maybe Helmsley way etc takes anyones fancy then put your name down here.
How about Sunday 28th January 2001.
No excuse for short notice this time.
Cheers
Chris Clayton
MY99 Silver turbo.
P.s. ferraris/lotus's/etc also welcome

Yep,
Everyone welcome.
Clifton moor sounds a good meeting site as it
is on the right side of York to get out on the good roads.
Will sort out a route and details nearer the time.

Hi Chris,
I tend to organise a few things over near Hull but haven't done so for ages. Would love to come along and should be able to muster 8+ other cars, incl. WRX's, 22B's and a few other mota's.
Drop me a mail to let me know any more details if you can.
All the best,
Jon

Ok Jon, that sounds great.
As mentioned before will get a route sorted of probably about 50 ish miles, will try and take in the scenic/twisty roads towards Helmsley to make it interesting (but not that fast).
Also had an email from a lad about possibly organising a meet at the yorkshire festival of speed at Leconfield in August sometime. Would be a good chance to get quite a few scoobies together and also the possibility of a go on a dragstrip type track (so I hear).
Will speak to the local Scooby dealer at York (FR Pulleyn) and see if he will bring his MY01 scooby so people can maybe have a demo/sit in/test drive etc. Not promising anything yet but will see what I can do.

Hi Chris,
I'll be showing my face aswell as things stand at the mo. If you require any assistance with the route let me know, over the years I've 'explored' most of the roads around here .

Sounds like a good idea to me.
As I live just outside Hull I will try and contact Mossman and travel accross with him and anyone else leaving the area.
Once you sort a date, venue and time please e-mail me the details.
Looking forward to it.
Matt,

Hi,
I'm the new kid with a new toy. Can anyone explain what is happening in York. Would like to try somthing fun with the new car, but am on 10 points, so would prefer a track day. Is this what your up to, or just a road drive? Can someone send me details.
Cheers

If you want a great route head up towards Rosedale Abbey over the moors - some really unbelievable stuff.
Been there a couple of times now, first time when I was a bit younger - managed to kill the clutch on my MG Metro (no laughing - it was 10 years ago, and not a bad car for a 17 yr old)
Excellent

Hi Fergus!
A concrete post decided to fall on the bonnet and so a BIG bill is due next week!
At least it has given me the opportunity to get a new style bonnet/vents/scoop and headlights etc!
Give me a ring soon!
Cheers,
JM

Will sort out a route this week/weekend.
mjr - will be a meet up at Clifton Moor car park and a drive out - all on public roads I'm afraid so you will have to restrain yourself.
Will have a look at including Rosedale in the route but depends on how long it gets.
Cheers
