Elvington - best track day venue
#1
What a blast! Miles of track, loads of track time, no Armco, no trees, no plonkers and tons of run off area. In fact, so much run off you could have built another track!!
No chance of hitting anything other than cones. I went with Mike Peck ADI for a bit of AWD limit handling instruction. Did the trick as well. Plenty of controlled back-end out to gain best advantage for the clipping point and exit with no wasting time on big slides. Fun but not quick. Good value for money too, in fact far better than MIRA because the surface changed frequently and you were doing other things like going like a bat out of hell. Managed to waste the EVO, all types of Lotus, Caterham, Ferrari 360, two Porsche’s and a few TVR’s. Got whupped by the R33 but that was before the instruction started to sink in.
I’ll be back!
