Exclamation ScoobyShootout - micklehead & walton peeps

Ok guys,

Can you sound off if your running.

And also if spectating etc.

Need to confirm gazebo, BBQ, book in service cars with Chris, arrange morning meet time and place, route, any other meets for the convoy chappies, etc.

We'll discuss Thursday night .. else PM / post the details.

Definately coming to this with a scoobyfull of folk 5 of us heading over in my car but purely to spectate and help with gazebo / bbq things
Will be up for meeting anytime anywhere anyplace.... Sonic, Neil (your goodself) and Moi met at Burtonwood Services bright and early last year and then met the SMACs at Birchwood Services etc... Similar plan this time could be good?
Pablos.....

As i posted elsewhere ......

Just being contraversial,

but the amount of folks on here that go on its 'chav' this and 'chav' that........ the so called chavs (wannabees) who do street race, get criticised to hell , yet whats happening here, its just being moved from street to circuit, ...and then spending the next few months going on 'mine is quicker than yours'...

So, before we slag of 'chavs' ..... just remember that 'each to their own'... sorry, going back to the thread title, the shootout just aint for me.

Hey dude, think of it as a Fast Cruise!

Convoy there and back, social meet / BBQ's etc, chat to those "big names" you may never meet otherwise, and do a bit of trying out of the car on safe, legal, approved, timed, managed runway!

Each to their own tho' as you say.

Anyway
How's the 'box, being done yet ?

Cheers

Neil

Ok, BTT.

We have a competing car, a service car, the start of a convoy, a BBQ or similar and food to be provided, marquee/gazebo, tables , chairs, etc.

Probably meet up at Micklehead at 7 am on the Sunday, may pick up others at burtonwood / Birch services, but not hanging around too long.

Those going : ( so far / as of last Thursday )

Vulnax ( competing )
Julian MY93 WRX - service ( ohh dear... )
Blue Scoob Ste
*Sonic*
Abdabz and friends
John WRX
Prouty

Any others up for it?

£10 to spectate I am afraid... but you do get to park up in the Scooby area !

Service car parks up with competitors...

The £10 to spectate is PER PERSON not per car!

Gearbox is still totalled. Wont be getting sorted for a good few weeks yet ....... probably the end of June (at the earliest).

Once this is sorted tho, i think im gonna have to give the car some respect...i guess its had a bit of a grilling of late, not that the car shouldnt be able to take a bit of punishment.

my slagging of the SSO is just a wind-up, everything else that gets posted gets labelled, so i thought i'd have a go..... its not for me tho, plus ive got other priorities at the moment.

So whats wrong with my lexus lights ...?????

Now then - dont wait for me on Sunday morning chaps! My 12 hour FA Cup Final session will have concluded in the wee hours of Sunday morning so I'll be in no fit state to drive over at 7am!!! I'd need to inject Alka Seltza to stand a chance - I've tried snorting it but throthy sneezes are bad
So if I'm not in a state of semi-death I'll make my way over in time for the racing - But I've been a Man U fan a lot longer than a Subaru fan - plus all my mates told me to n0b off when I mentioned the timings
Enjoy ya convoy boys and girls!

OK, who's meeting up at the Micklehead Green pub car park, and at what time? Any where else?
Competitors ( me ! ) need to be there before the briefing ( 9:45 ) so could do with being there before 9 am really ... doors open to competitors and service cars at 7:45.

Around 100 miles away so leave 2 hours to get there ( multimap etc. peeps! )

So suggest get to / leave Micklehead by 7 am ... ( Yawn ) and get on way, pick up people on way if needed quickly and get set up at Elvington.

Julian - got your service car pass here too, so you can park by me in our "Service area" .
