Default York dragway Bank Holiday meet 1st May

posted for info. York (melbourne) dragway have put up £500 cash for the first jap road car to run a 9s 1/4m there on road legal tyres, worth passing onto a few of the quick car owners!

Sunday

-Including the annual 0-60 Challenge with trophies awarded for Quickest 4-cylinder, Quickest 6-cylinder, Quickest normally aspirated V8, Quickest 1/4 Mile, Quickest 1/4 Terminal Speed and Overall 0-60 Champion
-American Super Stock qualifying for round 1
-Hot Rod Challenge qualifying for round 1
-Northern Drag Racing Championship (Pro-ET and Sportsman-ET bracket series) qualifying for round 1
-Modders Shootout round 2
-Run What You’ve Brung
-Ford Sport Club meeting

N.B. Once participants are signed on for Run What You’ve Brung or racing, there is FREE registration and qualifying for 0-60 runs.



2 May UK Open Nationals


Bank Holiday Monday.

-American Super Stock Show, Shine and Shakedown.
-Northern Drag Racing Championship bracket series round 1 eliminations
-Hot Rod Challenge round 1 eliminations
-Plus plenty of track time for the Run What You’ve Brung sessions

Chris, after we went last time, unless they sort the return road and entry to the strip, they are never going to get an big gun jap cars down there sadly.

<grapevine mode> I have heard they (melbourne) have recieved monies to upgrade the return road from NHMC circa 2k as they use it on one of their rallies

yeah i told steve the same, if they sorted the in/out and return road they would get more big boys toys there. hopefull they will see this soon, track is ok and can be a good day out when dry, as mentioned when its wet the mud n stuff gets dragged all over the startlines.
