Elvington rwyb dates 2005
quick reminder the first rwyb is on 20th march , it was to be 1/4m and top speed, but will now just be 1/4m head to head only, as a fairly low key season opener/test day.
price has been reduced accordingly to suit, £30 for unlimited runs all day, £5 entry to spectate. some good cars coming along, incl the Top secret drag r skyline. you wont have to queue and will be able to have as many runs as you want, i think peccy holds the record still for one day with 30 odd launches without breaking it!
other rwyb dates there are the usual 1/4m and top speed, and will be £45 this season for unlimited runs all day.
these are 10th april and 3rd july, which is the totb practise day and should also have some top cars there,

£30 for just the 1/4mile and no top speed runs?
plus an extra £15 for top speed run days
did the price go up sumwhere along the line?
do people still consider £45 a reasonable cost?

Micky, its been £40 for the last 2 years for both events, and sometimes even when there wasnt a top speed event available. Its still VFM when compared with others, considering you get unlimited runs.
A £5 increase isnt much, as i believe insurance for these kind of events has increased.
I seem to remember Chris saying somewhere that, out of the £45, £20 alone goes towards driver insurance!

insurance cover is reqd to provide a timed/competitive event, with a fee per driver charged on the organisers in this case straightliners, it does not cover the car for any damage done while racing. £45 for the top speed and 1/4m days is exactly half price of doing an untimed trackday at elvington with one of the normal hire companies on there. still very good value for money for a full days sport!
will be very little in way of queues on the day, so you will get plenty of runs in.
