Well after the success of the last meet (a WR1 and STi Spec C turning up, and plenty bodys ) it seems that we need to get a date for the next one.

How about doing it regular on the 1st thurs of every month at the mikelhead green.

Its an easy location to get to and do food if your hungry. And we can view the carpark as well, just in case.......

Although some of the guys work away, so maybe it would be better to centre around them, once a month on a date that all of us can come too!

I'll go with that - being one of them that does work away, I'm not always good for a constant date, but would be up for a regular routine

Especially as my front right wheel lifted up on that roundabout doing practically no speed at all, it's like an ice rink with it's uneven surface and my stiff suspension

 

The WR1 didn't have a problem following behind you Bumpy roads, Roundabouts, no probs. Tracks, well, thats another matter

That island is awesome in my type R, especially heading towards St.Helens, nice and wide.

Althought that roundabout has seen alot of cars off!

Sounds good to me Julian - I have brakes again now - was braking on sponges for the last month or so (oops) - a lovely set of mintex - love the noise the dimples make when spinning - cool - small things small minds - I know I know!!!
First Thursday of the month it is - gutted I missed Thursdays - but at least me tata's are intact!

Where is the Mikelhead Green?! And is it a pub?! I live in Southport, have a map and am willing to travel (or get lost) but I don't know the area at all.

 

yeah its a pub, but is about 40 mins from southport, but you've got a great drive from there to st.helens. I'm sure one of us coud meet up with you on the east lancs/rainford bypass.

 

That would be me - Julian / scoobess - I'm 2 mins away from Windle Island so would be happy to meet at say the Little Chef at the Southport end of the by-pass - hey what an excuse for an olympic breakfast!! Dont be early I'll be stuffin my face .
Seriously wouldnt be a problem though - just need to be ready to leave there 20mins before the meet starts

You could go the M57 route to Prescot, then through Rainhill to the M62 roundabout ( it's jcn 7 ) and take 1st left onto to the "new road" and right at 1st roundabout into road where Micklehead Green pub in, right into carpark!

Of course, the ormskirk run to rainford bypass is more fun! Then head towards Widnes and find the "new road"

Ah sh1te - its the penultimate day of my 20's - family meal in Ormskirk on said day, table booked for half seven - poodom - cant believe Im missing two on the bounce!!!

Not good - and I'm away the first week of August - bloody useless :S :roll

well 2 weeks and one day till the next one!

 

The 1st July - phew, I was thinking it was the Thursday after when I'm in Barcelona but have just checked the calendar! I should be there Julian, Scoobess is coming too, we're sorry we missed the last one. I also have a crazy colleague (ex-mechanic, very handy!) with the fastest WRX I've been in (he thinks it's 340bhp when it's running happily!) who wants to come along if that's ok.
