Dave (Corradoboy) & Jasemac have joined forces to arrange a meetup of convoys to both events...

This means a change of plan for the WYIOC as we had arranged for a meeting at J44.. It also means that the plans to meet up with the WASOCS meet for the Shootout wil have to be re-aranged.. (I'll sort that)

The meeting place and time will be placed here, but the initial meet will take place just off J41 on the M1 at Dave's work car park that will be able to hold 60 cars..

Next threads will have names for both the shootout and NBO...

OK everyone, here's where it's at!

From J.41 M1 head east towards Wakefield on the A650. At the 1st roundabout, turn left into Carr Gate then immediately right into Brindley Way. Then take the 1st left into the car park for Polestar Imaging Chantry, Cape House and you're there.
Please note :- The A650 stretch of dual carriageway has ongoing roadworks with a 30mph speed limit and we are meeting very close to Wakefields motorway traffic police station. Exercise caution as they have several unmarked cars including a red Omega estate and a blue 5 series estate (look for the LEDs either side of the reg plate, white blocks approx 5in x 2in, flash blue )

There are around 50-60 spaces, plus once they're filled we can block up the roads so there should be enough room.

For the Scooby Shootout it is proposed we meet at 8-8.15am on mon 31st May to allow those competing an early arrival at Elvington.

For the NBO the S.Yorks convoy will meet us at around 10am, so if everyone can be present by 9.45.

For refreshments there is a Burger King at the next roundabout down the A650. I don't think they will be open in time for the S/S, but as we meet later for the NBO I would think they will be. I will check in the next couple of days anyway.

Final note :- May I request that we all behave respectfully whilst on Polestar property. My MD had some reservation about allowing this, but as I assured him that we are all mature enthusiasts, not Chavs in Novas doughnuting around McD's carpark. Best behaviour please.

Do you know how complicated that list was? Pulled together from 4 different sites and BB... crafted into a complex blend of names directions, meeting points, destinations AND for two different dates. I was so proud...

Don't talk about ammo for coups.. Just the words 'Karting event' & 'Racing with Dazza on slip road' & 'Loosing everyone' should be enough to keep me safe..

I must admit... you and Dazza vanishing down the slip road, waiting for the first to blink as you blended like two high velocity bullets into the mild mannered evening traffic was priceless!

Someone had to hang back, all sensible like to pick up the peices of the shattered convoy 245 yds out of the car park Brilliant.

I might possibly come along to the shootout (50/50 chance). I have the directions printed off from above so will arrive at the car park at 8/8:15am or go straight there.

I have not put my name on any category as I don't know if I am part of WYIOC as I have not paid any fees.

How much is it to spectate and how much for passengers?
