WYIOC Fenay Bridge Meet - 27th May
Because I cocked up the first thread and was unable to change the thread title... I have decided to re-post and apologise profusely.
In fact I'm worried that I'll be the only one turning up becuase people misread the April thread and think we're not meeting...
Of course we're meeting!!!
If you're in two minds whether to do it now or later, you are requested to bring along completed membership forms (downloadable from www.wyioc.co.uk & click on the EGM Alert at the top) and your £10 fee on the night to save any posting... and to give Sticky and Chris something to do
If you do this on the night, I can instruct The Bridge to knock off 10% from ANY food & drinks bill (meet or not) from that day onward...
One Change - So we don't get bored...
I remember Daz asking if we could change the convoy route in... (nice point Dave )
Therefore We'll be meeting to depart the Cedar Court Hotel (smack bang on the M1 J39 roundabout. Huddersfield side) at 7:10 for the ususal convoy in...
Post here or visit the www.wyioc.co.uk calendar for more details...

Good point mate.. I do like to be helpful..
I'm usually a trusting and law abiding soul... and it's impossible to speed along there anyway (not that we would of course )... but.... well... just in case... if you need the route.. PM me or wait untill we're in the car park..

Don't forget guys - we're trying to sort out a BBQ at our place during June.
Saturday the 5th seems to be most likely, but it depends on who can/can't attend, so we need as much feedback as possible please.

Phil. You know my comments.
But I liked the layout and content. Main thing we (you) have to do is to find content that is not on SNET, WYIOC or the forums. This may be more difficult than we think.
IMO. The only thing that will transfer to the newsletter well is photos and pictures that are usually spread around the forums or not put up or used due to hosting and 56k downloading for some.
The news letter can fill this gap with pics and montages from the Karting for example, using Andy's cracking pictures.. (I do believe we've found our official club photographer ) with summaries of the event(s)...
Also, personal biogs could be an idea... every month do a piece on a particular member or members (two max)... This will help everyone get to know these people better, as some people still don't know each others proper names. We could do, where born... bit of a life history... interests.. current activities.. job...car details (past and present)... etc etc... we could use a standard format that is some mags to get an idea of some interesting questions to ask...
OK.. That's my two peneth..

Nick, I think it's a problem with AOL, as I can't get on at work, but don't have any problems at home. Try www.wyioc.com

Chris
After seeing you I went straight back to the task of making up the ten minutes I waited for someone to take them to work for them to not turn up!
Had fun on the roundabout though, everyone else seems to slow down!!
Will get back to you with regards to the BBQ!
Cheers

Sorry Al, can't make this months meet on the 27th, colleague at work leaving night out in Stoke-on-Trent, so no way I can mix it up a little.. But i'll be coming up to the ScoobyShootout a few days later, so all is not lost!!
My brother might come over though, as I think he knows enough faces now to feel welcome, even in his little Corsa....
5th June, i'll be there Chris...
Cheers

Tom.. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh...
If you're joining the convoy, a la last time, we're meeting at the Cedar Court Hotel for the run in...
Si, NP mate. We'll catch you for the Shootout..... remind Dan he's one of the crowd.... and he'l not get any grief about the hair.... Unless it's changed again? Can't promise about the car though!
Nick.. What's on? Do tell... go on.. eh? eh?

Phil, I'm gonna have to delegate the paparazzi job to Chris as:
a) he's got a flash camera in more ways than one if he can keep it out of the charcoal or not be the one in the drunken brawl
and b) I'm unlikely to be there as I'm coming back from Scotland that day
I should hopefully make the 27th...
