WYIOC Fenay Bridge Meet - 27th May
#211
Many thanks to all who turned up. The convoy in was a particular pleasure looking back at Rich (stickered up and LOUD) closing quickly with the F355 and Kel’s RS Turbo making up rear snaking behind.. I must apologise to the Frontera driver who thought that my missus and I were about to join him in his cabin..
A quality evening as always..
Big thanks to Flat Faw who visited late on with the stickers. Much appreciated and hope to see you at the next meet..
On a personal note.. I’d like to thank Ian for the run out in his ‘Thrapper’. That was a ‘moment’ that can be ticked off in my ‘Things to do before you die’ book. You do realise that I’ll be exerting maximum pressure to get you along to the Nurburgring!
BTW.. My Chiropractor will be in touch for payment for my neck treatment..
As Dave says, The Bridge will be closed down for the July meet due to refurbishment.. So we need a ‘Plan B’.
Sticky, in between spilling his pint and laughing hysterically at everything (don't apologise mate, we can get some miles out of this!!), made the suggestion for a run out to the Dales. Specifically the ‘Aidensfield Arms’ in Goathland… Considering this bunch of ‘Gypsies’ (remember that?) filled our car park and vaused a minor panic.. it may be fitting to repay the compliment! Downside is 60 Miles there.. so normal timings may be changed in order to get there a little earlier in the evening to enjoy the views..
Otherwise… we are open to suggestion and canvassing…
I’d like to echo the fact that the ladees got on so well, we could hear them laughing over the V8..
See you at the Shootout meeting point.. nice and early!!

Damn !! sounds like I missed a good night, glad you all enjoyed it though.
I'm not so keen on the idea of Goathland myself ( various work collegues / gypsies around) but I'll go with the majority. What about the Cornmill between Hudds & Leeds, just off the motorway ? I haven't been there for ages ,so I'm not sure what the food would be like, but I think I remember that it had a decent sized carpark.

Food's pretty good there Phil. And the atmosphere's a lot better since it was refurbed....
Alternatively, what about a group curry??? Maybe somewhere with a decently accommodating car park - like Aakash??

Have fun for the week and you can get as many insults in as poss (Al ) as I'm away from the pc until next Saturday... (unless I log on later this morn to see who doesn't get a Chrissy card!)

FPMSL @ Apple.
Classic mate.
Lets make him suffer...
Al, what's with the Frontera thing, was he overtaking you in the wrong spot
Oooh, look, nearly 500 posts
(unless your reading this in the near future and I've gone over, in which case I'll look a pratt)
BUSINESS AS USUAL THEN

Silver...I'm on with it mate. Gotta get cracking on having it removed as the car's going at midday. What with that, the head unit swap and a drive to Pickernose, I'm gonna be like the proverbial blue-ar$ed fly.

This is really childish.. I mean the Muppet thing was done to brighten the place up.. nothing more at all.. OK, it was funny and a lot of the muppetts did look very accurate.. but I didn't drag it out, o no.... didn't bring it back up for... a few hours at least..
Wasn't Matins car dirty?
Ooo.. Look at that!
