I don't know...a litle birdie told me there is going to be a clean WR Blue WRX with FMIC conversion and NEONS in attendance so they may need the FQ after all

Steady.....
just a quick question...I've some drilled, grooved and vented rear disks in the garage from an Ian Godney group buy. I *think* I bought the classic ones by mistake and they don't fit my bugeye
Would you want them for your silver classic..., I'm not asking for any money for them...

Steve (em) noeons ordered for 8th January..Rusty-get your cheque book out !!
AFIK the diameter of the Godspeed rear disks (rotors) are too small (not the bells)and the pads miss them. Again AFAIK the diameter of the rotors on classics are less than the bugeye.
This is what Ian Godney mailed me
"......but your rear pads and discs are wrong , you have the bigger discs fitted ,the mechanic is going to measure what size discs you have fitted , If we canget them we will do , I can get the 290mm rear ones so as long as they arethe same then we can supply them , but they do cost more though"
A quick call to dougie at SP's should answer the questions..

For one moment, say money was not an issue ( ) would you suggest 2nd hand Subaru genuine 4 pots or a Godspeed 4 pot conversion kit?
For the uninitiated, 2nd hand kit = approx £300; Godspeed = £600
Cheers, Jon

When I was on my own in the car the Subaru 4 pots stopped me as good as anything I have known, not quite as sharp as my MR2 but that must weigh much less !!
The original brakes just seemed a bit hesitant in stopping a car full of wife and kids and the rest of the stuff in the boot on our days out across the border etc!! I've never done a track day so can't comment on that.
I have to be honest and say apart from the new brakes feeling completely solid I'd be hard pressed to advise you to spend the extra...AFAIK Mark@wrx like's the blue Pagid pads with the Subaru four pots and I'd forget what I say and follow his advice.
Does this help ??
