Merry Christmas and a Prosporous New Year.

The last year has been a fantastic year for the Tyne Tees Scoobies both collectively and its individual members. The year has seen membership of the TTS trebled, which meant a move to better more welcoming surroundings for our meeting. Our summer meetings attracting 25-30 cars each meet.

Some of the most noticable 'highs' of the year must include our involvement in the Northern Big One (which must go down as one of the best days of my life). This day will remain in my memory at least until next year when the NBO II hits town. Bigger and better than last year. Lets not forget the TTS Rolling Road day which attracted 25 very 'tasty' cars to the event and our involvement in the Scooby Shootout.

Other meets of note included our Xmas party, when we seemed to donate all the raffle prizes to our Cumbrian member (Only joking John), our Summer BBQ (Who could forget the Morris Dancers) and many great drives out into the surrounding countryside.

On an individual note, the achievements of several of our members cannot go unnoticed. Harvey has not only set the standards for the group with regard to usable power but also to the rest of Europe. Jonny Gav has seen a massive 'hike' in the power output of his car, whilst as far as the appearance of their motors, Brian, Dion and John C have raised the stakes for Interior and Exterior modifications.

The great thing I like about the group is everyones willingness to share their experiences (both good and bad) and give unbiased advice to other members. Long may this last, because I would be lost without it.

I would also like to offer thanks to our local suppliers. Both Glenn from Revolution and Alyn from AS Performance have been most generous and supportive during last year. Many thanks go out to them both.

What have we got planned for next year?, I can hear you ask.

Well, myself and some of the Cumbrian Scoobs will be down at Elvington Airfield on the 3rd January for a trackday organised by Bookatrack. Feel free to join me.

The next TTS Rolling Road Day is booked for Sunday 7th March, so this is a chance to see how those winter mods are performing.

Who could forget Sunday 13th June 2004 when Lightwater Valley will again be the centre of everything Subaru for the NBO II.

The list goes on!!!!!!!!

I would like to thank all the members of the Tyne Tees Scoobies for their involvement in the club and throw open an invitation to all Subaru owners in the North East who aren't already members to come along to one of our meeting on the first Tuesday of the Month at the Dun Cow, Bournmoor and join in the fun.

Have a great Christmas

Martin

A very special thanks go to Martin for his <driving> force in making the TTS what it is today

Over at cumbria we are streets behind in things like callenders ,membership cards ,and general organisation however we have used our time in runs, runs and more runs along with some great pub meets

Next year we hope to adress things to catch up with the TTS.

Next year (if you will not refuse my membership )
The misses is BANNED from raffles !!!

We have the NBO 2 already planned which will be taken to a new level ,what started as a crazy idea some 12 months ago when I was one of the(quite) members who shared this <vision> of an idea to get a few scoobys to meet in a field
I remember when i suggested it to you all and you thought

mmm
we could maybe get a few from TTS possibly 30 and even 20 from cumbria thats 50 !!

Who knows we MIGHT even double the numbers on the day !!!!!

we didnt even have a venue to someone suggested Lightwater valley remembering from years ago a RS ford day

We even made the date so it did not clash with one of our members hollidays

The NBO was born and it became the largest event in scooby history
In the run up to june there was thousands of posts on it and convoys were organised from all over the country

the day itself ran like clockwork i remember Johny-gav ringing up from scotch corner to say there was 100 scoobs and they had been asked to move !!

That was part of the <vision>
There was storys of tailbacks and congestion on the A1 due to scoobys everyware
A great day and thanks to all of you that helped make it a great
day
As the men in white coats have locked me in scoobytowers for a few days i have a few <visions> including the NIDC which we hope to link all the northern scooby drivers together .

Merry christmas everyone

Paul,

It's a bit ironic that I was one of those members that went to the wrong pub that night.
I must have gone to Simon's school of navigation. LOL
Cheers

Must agree it's been a great year and credit must go to Martin + all the other members of the TTS who have contributed in many ways and not forgeting John the man with the visions.
Of all the great events this year for myself a day at Lightwater Valley in June was the highlight

hi everyone

to say the club has been a success is an understatement, the club has come a long way in the last year and i am proud to be a member.

well done to martin for pushing the club forward and not to forget lord john for his vision that was the northern big one.

things have come a long way since a meeting of 3 members(harvey, martin and myself) decided to give the club a try!

who could have thought it could have grown into what we have today.

all the best for xmas and the new year to all members of TTS

Thanks Mal,

I can see some flowers heading Sandra's way in the new year.

I think the TTS owe her a lot.

Let's build on our strengths next year and make NBO 11 bigger and better, if that is possible, than NBO 1.
What happened to the idea for N.I.D.C.? NIDC Eastern Division = Tyne Tees and Western Division = Cumbria?
Happy Christmas to one and all. Lang may yer lum reek.!!!

Merry Chrimbo and happy New Year to all TTS members.

I've not been a Scooby owner for too long, but I have found the club to be a really friendly place, with all members willing to share information and offer advice.

Many thanks go to:
Martin for the organisation of a great club.
Members for welcoming me into the fold.
Alyn at AS Performance for all the advice and assistance.
Simon for "those" lights
The Dun Cow for hosting the meetings and putting the fire on!!

I look forward to many more TTS/Scooby days during 2004....Just hope I can make a few of them......are babies welcome????

Marty
