see the West Yorkshire Fenay Bridge meet thread

meet in Huddersfield.

they are an ugly bunch but all very very friendly (and I dont even have a scooby)

(ugly relating to the lads - corradogirl and Harryboys missus made up for them)

I keep meaning to go - even after selling the cossie - but always seem to have something on when they meet.

Corradoboy - Mmmmm Xmas kiss - you offering ? (sorry even made me feel ill writing it)

I haven't replaced the cossie - just running the saab.
I was coming down to the meet the month after the first one and got a call from a potential purchaser for the cossie to see it that night (so had to stay in) and he bought it.

I am in two minds whether to buy a second car - but to be honest I was waiting to hear from you when you were selling, as you said it maybe a few months.

I can't promise - but let me know when your selling and I'll give you a definate yes or no - the wife is holding the purse strings very tight at the moment. (unless she wants some clothes - but thats women for ya).

I will make it to another meet shortly - but in an old, lowly 185bhp saab.

it is a great car - and can `be chipped to 227 bhp for relatively small amount (I'm considering it - but funds !!! )

plus no twoc'er would be seen dead in a saab -so safe to park up anywhere - and it has been totally reliable in the 2.5 years I've had it.

bit of a bargain on the quiet are these older 900SE 2.0turbos.

DAC - At the mo' it looks like Corradogirl (as Helen has become known ) is gonna adopt the VW when I get my Scoob. Just hanging on 'til folks start choppin in their MY03's. Almost jumped in for a couple of bugeyes, but I really wanna new one .

Hope to see ya at one meet or another, soon.

PS. I won't recognise you, I'm hopeless with names/faces so please, no offence. It has been a while after all.

PPS. The Fenay Bridge crew are trying to organise a couple of specials around xmas. Gokarting maybe before and possibly a trackday in the new year. If you are interested.

Very offended by the ugly statement - I see it as more unfortunate!!!

If you want to go to the next meet just let me know and if I manage to get there you can cadge a lift in my car.

Cheers

yeah - the ugly statement was a bit general - just relates to the few (you know who you are)
and I know 'I'm no oil painting myself'

corradoboy - no problem with car - (over xmas even the one car will sit idle - as I drink myself into oblivion and maybe use the odd taxi) - J4ck5on - whats your mobile no. - hey, thats a good business idea "fastcars" taxi firm.

Martin - thanks for the offer - I will take you up on that.
the pre-xmas meets may be a bit tight though as i've got alot of xmas entertaining and wining/dining arranged.

I will definately come again - as on a serious note - the first meet was excellent, and it was good to speak to serious and mature car people (as against the kiddies and the 'I am' RS scene)
