NBO FEEDBACK AND CHAT~~~###########
Having returned from my NBO holiday ive just noticed how quite it is on here !
maybe it is withdrawal after the event itself .
first of all i would like to thank you all for attending the NBO as without you all it would of been a bit quite !!
the weather was hot and ive just got my credit card statement showing a large amount from god/weather services
I would like to thank martin (ninnybobs) for all the hard work that was done behind the scenes in organising the NBO with me and all the rest of the cumbrian /tyne tees scoobs for helping make this a top event in the scoobyworld
Cancer research was presented with £1180 on the day and they have been adopted as the groups official charity in the future
there is so many people to thank that i cant remember them all and also to Lightwater Valley for the great venue and to all the trade stands and contributers to the raffle im sorry i couldnt talk to you all on the day but it was MANIC but worth it to see the hundreds of Flat 4s driving into LV
and to the future ################
the question everyone wants to know
Will there be another NBO ?
YES

Sunday June 14th (fathers day) 2004
Lightwater Valley
similar format to NBO 2003 but with many other features allready planned
I am now looking forward to feedback good and bad on the event and how it can be improved it was a first for us all so please be gentle with us !!
all food burger vans etc can not be provided as LV have excellent facilities so lets concentrate on the car/ organising side
The first TTS meeting is on Tuesday so any feedback good or bad would be appreciated
Its good to be back !!!!

Concours wise, i think you would be better off doing seperate Classic and NewAge categories, theres no way a 10yr old car can complete with 10week old one, if you get my drift
We have the same thing at MLR meets, except three categories Evo1,2,3/ Evo4,5,6/ Evo 7,8 for the same reason.
Looking forward to the next one!

when we first started planning in january we wrote to 40 suppliers and only four said they would come along
one week before the event i was turning suppliers away to protect the chosen few who supported us when we thought we might get 100 cars .
keep them coming

Get a microphone that works for next year
And definately get the Charity tent at the entrance so everyone pays their way and gets their raffle tickets.
By the way LWV is an excellent venue especially for those of us that fetch the kids
Looking forward to fathers day 2004 already

Lord Harding,
It was a pleasure and an honour to be involved in the 'first' NBO.
The official NBO photo will be unvieled at the TTS meeting on Tuesday and will go on public release shortly after.
Not bad for a fiorst try.
Watch out for the feature in Japanese Performance Magazine in a month or two.
Seeya Tuesday

Massive thanks to John & Martin plus all other guys for organising the day.Still on a high , well driving the scoob does that for me.
Definitely on comments as above charity tent on entry and microphone would work.People travelled a long way for the event and i doubt any have second thoughts about doing it again.
Cheers guys.

It was a great day out, please add me to the list for 2004.
I would charge say £5 a car for entry next year and give out a raffle ticket at this point. That way everyone will contribute to your chosen charity.

hi all.. I'm very new to the sccoob scene (only had my 2001 WRX for 3 days) but interested in the NBO as my company does the PR for lightwater Valley, and i work for YTV ..So .. If its gonna happen again and that many scoobs are gonna turn up then i can get discounted tickets (maybe even free) for the park and also get a slot on Callendar.. can whoever arranges the event contact me with dates and i'll see what i can do
Great event
I agree with RichiW,if you are going to hold a concours event although it might prove time consuming and difficult there should be diffeent categories for 'classic' and 'Bugeye' standard and modified etc
just my two pence worth

Good day out, met many people, great weather............but, as a egacy owner, why was I and another identical car to mine, singled out and made to park away from the main field?
I thought it was a Subaru meeting, not just an Impreza meting.
I agrre with the other comments about splitting up the classics & new age cars, maybe also have a corner for Legacy's also? after all Subaru made them as well.
Oh & by the way.....I was'nt given a ticket or A4 sheet to put my username on............just my little moan....almost spoilt a good day.

I would just like to say what a great day.Loads of superb cars to look at,and plenty to do in the theme park.Just to say I agree with RichiW with his idea with cars 10 years old not being able to compete with cars 10 week old, although best car of the day was just a bit of fun.Another thing I would like to add is other cars (not scoobys)were parking on the field, this I found because my car was the red 95 prodrive parked at the end on the first row and quite a few sheds were parking alongside.
This I became concerned at, my car might be 8 years old but it is in very good condition, marshalls watch for this.Roll on next year.
