MTR's original post...
Hello all,
Date for your diary.
Sunday 29Th September, 10:00am, East bound side of Birch services between J18/19 on the M62.
Northern Meet 6, approx distance 65 miles.
Any of you that intended going to Meet 5, but were unable to attend, should enjoy this just as much.
For those of you that have never been on one of these meets, there is nothing to be frightened of.
You each have a detailed route, and you can drive within the legal limit, and at a pace that you feel comfortable with.
IT ISN'T A RACE.
So come along and enjoy the spectacle of, hopefully, a varied collection of nice motors.
Usual format ladies and gentlemen, please register your interest on this thread, and STATE YOUR CAR TYPE,if thats OK.
ON THE DAY I WILL HAND OUT COPIES OF THE ROUTE WITH A MAP IN GROUPS OF 10 CARS.
WHEN YOU RECIEVE YOUR COPY OF THE ROUTE PLEASE GET IN YOUR CAR AND LEAVE 'IMMEDIATELY' WITH THE OTHERS IN THAT GROUP.
I WILL THEN WAIT APPROX 3 MINUTES AND REPEAT THE ABOVE PROCESS.
I WILL NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE IN THIS PROCEDURE TO TRY AND KEEP THE GROUPS SEPERATED, SO PLEASE DON'T HANG AROUND ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR ROUTE.
Hello all,
I was in the process of attempting to negotiate another 'deal' for attendees of Northern Meet 7, however under the present circumstances I will eliminate any possible suspicion of colusion between myself and Robinsons and WILL NOT be pursuing any deals for attendees, as the event is being advertised on this BBS, and I wouldn't want people to feel I had any conflict of interests, or was in any way being, quote:'deceitful'.
See here for understanding of the issues.

Put us on the list m8.
Missed half of these because of holidays. Fortunately this time we will have just returned to the UK.
After two weeks trundling a F**d round the Costa a quiet scenic drive must be the perfect option

Sounds good - should be up North by then - so if not in the middle of moving house will try and join you to get to know some Norherners.
Is this simply a drive - or is there a pub at the end of it for a bit of socialising?
Trout
STi V - with a few tweaks

Yep, agree on the 10 cars bit! 5 is just about possible to keep together, isn't that what you usually do?
Not sure What I'm up to that weekend yet, but you know me, any excuse!
