Fun in the snow
Following our successful SMACS skid training day, I thought I would put into practice what I had learned and have been out down the local trading estate give it some in the snow.
Lots of fun as usual, lets hope there is some still around tomorrow.

Snow You’re kiddin aren’t you.
Not possible - We’ve not even had any here in Wales yet!
And - well if you’ve done this - I take it you’ll be making an insurance claim for all the damage to your car and every shop on the estate in sight

After finishing work tonight, and with a massive snow ridden private car park to play on, i thought id give my classic some beans with a full lock on and do some lovely donuts
But all i managed to do was do some rather quick circles with a little drifing (almost did a full 360 donut) but it wasnt like i expected it to be doing perfect donuts whilst tanning the juice peddle
What am i doing wrong, thought it would be really easy, but it turned out to be solid, bloody 4 wheel drive, way too much grip if you ask me

You need to get some lock on and give the handbrake a bit of a tug to get a spin started, then beans it in 1st
Keep an eye on your temp gauge though, with no airflow over the rad or intercooler it soon starts climbing
My XR4x4 was always better at them than my scoob, more power at the rear

Had a few heavy snow showers this afternoon,in snowy Co Durham.Dumped about an inch few, more of those and it will be good enough for a bit of action. These big black clouds just keep rolling in,will go out later when the car parks are empty and have meself a bit sideways fun.

Easy Tiger
-5 on The Cat this morning with patchy gritting thanks to the K**B in the blue Saab who overtook do you not think that I want to drive at 60 plus? But guess what when it's -5 that usually means ice and in this case black ice. If you want to drive like a plank do it somewhere else.
End of rant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
