Well it goes like this..... phoned up Direct Line to enquire about the renewal. Ive been with Direct Line for 10 years.
I asked them 'IF' I was to do any mods to the car.. like rear tints, Group N Backbox, front strut bar, Forge Dump valve or putting an STI spoiler on a wrx would it affect my insurance IF I did these things of course

Well Direct Lines answer was ....
Is the Strut Bar a wrap round one? Like the Bull Bars on a 4x4 :wonder
Does the Forge DV affect the perfomance at all ?
By the time we got to can you explain the difference between an STI spoiler and a WRX spoiler I was already tapping on the lappy to find someone else....
Anyway the quote from Direct Line was nearly 600 with an excess of 500 and they werent really sure what they were insuring... all they seemed bothered about was if the Tracker Certificate was up to date

Anyway .... spoke to ... Gary Moulson at Keith Michaels ......
that was weeks ago..... guy knew what everything was that I was 'going' to do with my car... now done... that was quick wasnt it

Anyway the premium is 200 cheaper PROTECTED which Direct Line wasnt and the excess is 100 cheaper

Oh and I forgot to renew it.. so phoned up the day it was due and did it all over the phone and the car was on cover straight away and I received the documents in the post the next day !
Thanks Gary.... will phone you when the van and the motorbike are due
