Where can I live tax free?
Thinking of moving overseas so I can live tax free.
If I ever came back to the UK after 2 or 3 years I could buy a house with cash.
Which I am not planning on doing if anyone from HMRC is reading this
I'm not feeling very optimistic at the moment re housing. The sort of house I want are being snapped up really quick with tons of competition from buyers and limited supply coming on market. Highs are being probed and exceeded.
Where could I live? Where would you live? Don't say Thailand. I'm more thinking Spain so I can take advantage of their 180 day rules.

Me neither, tenants are a pain in the **** and wreck ones properties. I shall be letting people come to my mountain hide away for a week or two to escape the rat race in nice apartments in pleasant surroundings, eating chemical free local produce, drinking local wine and real mountain water, they can even splash about in the pool, for a fee of course.

I wouldn't have lodgers in my house, nor would I rent out my additional properties, if I ever have them. Tenants are pain in the @rse. Mr. ex Turbohot is a BTL landlord as well as his own employment, and he runs around like a headless chicken; fixing this and that for his tenants. I wouldn't have time for all that!
Lodgers are pain as well. I wouldn't compromise my freedom for extra money. Fekk that.
On the topic, I would have suggested some third world countries, but they're are full of foreigners, so no point.

So you basically want to use major tax avoidance measures but you would probably be the first to vilify large corporations for doing the same.
Even if you did and decided to return to the UK you may find you still couldn't buy your home cash. House price inflation could easily (but not necessarily of course) outpace any savings you will make from paying less tax abroad.

This must be today's bullsh it thread.
Your going to pi55 off to another country, earn off them whilst stashing the cash to buy a house in your home country.........err isn't that what most immigrants do here?
Oh I know a few lads working out in the middle east on 120k a year , none have bought there houses outright .....don't get me wrong they have nice houses and plenty of toys but as everyone does they live to what they earn plus a little.
When you have done your 'couple' of years, what then?
Back to the uk and buy your house and take a much lower paid job in the uk.....or do you jump back on that plane to go earn the money you are accustom to?........and whilst your away your new property will be sat empty begging for a squatter or thief......so common sense says rent it out for 6 months (to which you will get used to the extra cash from rent)
Don't really like arguing on the tinterweb as its a pointless activity......but you sir are just full of sh1te.
You certainly talk the talk
Anyhows none of the above is meant in any harm......how about doing what normal folk do....get on with your life by doing what you think is right

My outlaws have been "dodging" tax for over 15 years now; they became Guernsey residents (and still are) and spend most of their time on a yacht in Spain.
And do you know what? It pi55es me off.
What paid for FILs care when he had a horrendous crash and nearly died? Our taxes.
What paid for the care when his daughter lost a little one? Our taxes.
What paid for all the care for all his four grandkids when they were born? Taxes.
What pays for the defence of our country? Taxes.
Yes we all try and be "efficient" but to dodge tax is just immoral.
I too hate where a lot of our money IS wasted (bailouts, Public Sector salaries, etc) but to try and pay NO tax? Sorry but that can **** off.
