Coronado cherry is without doubt the best. And I find the gel ones don't last as long as the little pads.

The ones I buy from the bay come with a adjustable
lid, once it's run out just remove and keep the lid.

Hmmm I asked him the question via eBay , awaiting a reply . By the looks of his pictures it looked like a permanently opened lid ...... Also how do you clip these to the vent grills ?

They won't clip to the vents as they are tins. I just put it under passenger
seat and it works fine.

Your right some of the pictures do look like permanently open lids
particularly the ones that look like a flower pattern, if you go through
the pics you will see a different patterned lid which is the adjustable
one which is what always came with mine when I bought one.

I just ordered the cherry one because it was highly recommended, along with the hawaii one and the melon one for my missus vehicle.

LMAO

Seriously though I think they smell rank.

I think its probably because most cars I have to sit in that have these things in is becuase they are used to mask other equally pungent smells....wet dog hair, fermenting dog slobber, baby sh*t, baby spew, sweat, *** ash. Its a nasty mix thats worse than the original smell.

What gets me is these car owners obviously know their car smells worse than a poorly maintained cesspit, but somehow think one of these in the cup holder will magically fix it and negate the need to properly clean their f**king car!

Ali-B, I would hope you're talking about a minority because my car certainly does't have any of those bad smells you're talking about! I'm not usually the one to go for air fresheners in a car because I find that the cleaning products I use on my interior does a great job, but I thought I'd just try one of these california scents to see what all the hype is about. They are mentioned quite a lot on detailingworld.com who are all avid car cleaning enthusiasts believe it or not

Cherry one is the best in terms of actually smelling it in the car and lasting. How every it does have that tang of child's sick too it.

There are nicer smells out there.

Autoglym sell these fragrance bags for coaches called cologne. They are really nice.

I wish it were a minority. Very few valeting aficionados pass through our gates. Women appear to be the worst too.

Seriously, shifting out a boot full of unwashed (worn) undercrackers just to get to a locking wheel nut is a task that should require a hazmat team. We do employ a few pervy buggers that would jump at the chance, but they'd spend more time sifting and sniffing that doing their actual job.
