Yeah does it all the time, if you just keep trying, wait for it to load up properly until there is a picture of the video and usually on the third attempt it works mate

It's nothing to do with that, it was a bug introduced in iOS 7, Safari is deeply integrated with the OS so it inherits the bugs.
Google Chrome on iPad/iPhone doesn't crash.

Wish it had crashed on my iPad as then I wouldn't have wasted that 5 minutes of my life watching this totally unintertesting piece of **** video ... I was waiting for the punchline, but there wasn't one!
