Default January Sales - Anyone actually got a bargain?

Looking a few things in the "January Sales" and can't say I've seen one really good bargain yet. I've found cheap ****e but not really anything that was once good and expensive which is now at a knock down price.

What a waste of time!

Oh, shoot! I bought it for £2.25, actually. So my Math is ok, it's just that I have arthritis in my fingers, so iPhone is a bit fiddly for me.

I'm only joking. I haven't got any arthritis. Not yet, anyway.

I forgot I also bought some 50W halogen bulbs for my kitchen in Tesco sale. Believe me or not, I got 8 bulbs for £2! Each packet of 2 was just 50 pences! I'm ecstatic!

Oye, shuddup! Only humans make mistakes, and I'm proud to be one.

Not proud of making mistakes, though. But you see, I've learnt so much from my mistakes that I shall soon make another one.

I need some tea light candles. I thought they'd be cheaper now as Christmas is over, but they were full price at Homebase and Tesco. I'm not paying £3.50 for 30 tea lights. I'll go and look in B&M as they sell bargains all year round.

We bought a new Dyson, £239 down from £319 so pretty chuffed with that.

We really fancy a new sofa as the deals in DFS & Harveys are slightly better at the moment but only by about £20 cheaper per chair... Think i'll leave it till we really need it.

We bought our sofa from the harveys factory outlet. This is where they sell all the ex display, damaged or where the wrong colour etc has been delivered.

It's a giant 8 seater corner with double recliners. Retails at about £3800, saw it once in the sale at 50% off so £1900, we paid £720 plus £50 delivery. Even better, everything is available immediately. Worth a visit.

We actually bought at Harvey's two weeks prior to Boxing Day, but got them to honour any Boxing Day deal.
So not bad all round.

If you do a search here, the store will have 'factory outlet' next to its location if it is one.

http://www.harveysfurniture.co.uk/StoreLocator.aspx

Here's ours just after it was delivered.

You need to find someone with a Costco membership. How does 300 tea lights for £11-12 sound?!

I'd get some for you, but postage would be the killer.

Good deal that. I got some pre Xmas deals from Halfords for their professional tools and chests, often find things on hotdealsuk, but little after Xmas. As a wider family, we don't bother with presents except for children.

Well, this is it. I very much appreciate your kind offer, but if they come out to be nearly 12 pences each or over for each tea light candle with the cost and postage , there's no point bothering you, and I might as well buy 30 of them for £3.50 from Tesco, or even for less at Homebase. It's still very nice of you to offer, Rossy. I must grap someone locally with Costco membership as you suggest. Thank you.

I may look for them on eBay as well.
