Default Mini CCTV ideas

More and more I'm buying online, and often leave instructions to "leave in the greenhouse", sometimes quite valuable items. One day I'm sure there will be a dispute as to wether an item was left or not. It would be great if I could monitor it with some sort of mini CCTV camera placed on the rear bedroom window.

Any ideas?

The perfect item would be battery operated, motion sensitive record onto a USB stick.

You can get battery powered wildlife cameras that record to an SD card, but they're not cheap. You'll get much better options if you can mains power an indoor camera.

Don't use a mains powered indoor camera with infrared at night though. You'll just get a reflection of the light in the window

I've always found Dlink equipment quite good. Plus you can use their free apps on your mobile device to checkout what's happened/happening anywhere with a 3G/Wifi service.

I'm sure there is much better kits out there, but for the Cost Vs Reason it was ideal for me.
