Dogs again, Diggin the lawn
#1
Why does my Cocker Spaniel insist or wrecking my lawn, big garden loads of space, 3 kids to play with, goes to my in laws farm every day or two so it aint boredom but she still rips the lawn up !
Seems to be eating something, what is it can I buy it ?
Should I buy turf for her tea instead of chum ?
Have tried creeping up on her and making her jump which is dead easy cos she is very into what she is doing and dead dosy anyway (and a bit blind)

Okay - next time you see her digging a hole, help her out. Once the hole is big enough, chuck your into the hole and quickly bury her. She should get the message after After 7 days & 7 nights

Hi m8
stopped my psycho dog digging holes by filling them in and putting a layer of tinfoil below the surface. Took about 1 week and he's never dug another hole.
Worth a try.

Thats as helpful as the suggestion to push the Cats nose in its own sh*t to stop it crapping in the lounge.
As advanced as these small mammals are (and some make enourmous contribuitions t society ) , they're simply not going to get "irony"
What they do understand is punishment & reward. Now if only someone could come with ideas for punishment......

give her a bit of the garden that she is allowed to dig in, its only natural for them to bury things and go back later when they are smelly and mouldy
if you let her have a patch to dig in she will stick to it. Punishing the dog isnt the way forward !! Reward her when she's good.
Hope that helps ?
