Nokia Car Kit Wiring notation, anyone?
#1
Does anyone out there have the notation for the Nokia car kit. I will be removing mine from my company car on Friday. It is being traded in but I was going to remove the car kit first and keep it for the scoob, as work will fit another kit to the new car. It would just save a bit of time testing each cable if I had the info written down.
Thanks

Sure...
If it's the CARK-91..
Power block:
Black – permant earth GND
Red – 2amp fuse - permanent 12v +
Blue – 1amp fuse – ign controlled 12v +
Yellow – Mute cable to radio
Green – motor antenna (if used)
Then you have two 3.5mm headphone jacks, one leads to your mic, the other to a speaker or into the head unit if it was wired that way.
Then you have the block connector which runs to the phone holder.
Then there is just the aerial lead from the phone holder to, surprisingly, the aerial.
Hope that helps,
Ian.

Have you fitted one of these before? I fit one into my mota on Sunday, and everything is fine - full kit is fitted in well, except the wiring.
I understand where they need to go, but dont know how to find the wires for stereo, earth, 12v etc. Car is a 94 MR2? Any ideas?
