Thinking of using the above for a go in something different one weekend. Only thing putting me off is the stories you here about customers getting massive bills for damage to the cars that they haven't caused and I remember seeing a watchdog type programme on this once.

Anyone used them or have any experiences, good or bad?

Cheers.

My mate Ted used them at Christmas. He gave his granddaughter a lift home in their hire car after a tipsy evening drinking Advocaat on Boxing Day. She was ill all over the back seats. They tried to charge Ted £55 for the privelage.....Some people..Blutes

Munch,
The deposit for the insurance is a bit more than that I'm afraid. I'm hiring out an F355 as our wedding car for a weekend and I haven't had any trouble with them so far.

As far as damage claims etc go, it's always wise to make sure you take photos of the car when you pick it up and return it so that they can't hold anything against you.

Thumbs up

EvoRSX

Can you mail me the cost details through, as we are looking at a similar thing for our wedding next year.

Just an idea on how much it is costing you in total for the weekend.

Cheers, DW

Have you tried Platinum Hire?
http://www.platinumhire.co.uk/

Its run by a scoobynetter and I have heard good reports on hiring from them, they used to give a scoobynet discount - not sure if they still do.

Worth a look

DW,
Total cost for the weekend is too bloody much , but it will be fun coming back from the pick up point with me in the 355 and my g/f in the Evo. Should prove an interesting comparison!!!!

I'll dig the details out this evening from home and send you a mail.

Andy

Hired a Jag from them, no trouble at all. Taking pictures/video makes sence.

Nick,
It will probably be only at ours for a short period of time on Friday and possibly on the Monday as well, but if we're around long enough then I'll give you a shout.

Andy

P.S. DW, I forgot about mailing you the details yesterday, I'll sort them out tonight for you.

Few weeks ago I was driving around wimbledon in rush hour traffic in the P!ssing rain and saw a red Ferrari 355 with two guys in it. Thought it a little strange to see a car like that out in conditions like that when I noticed the bespokes sticker in the rear window!

They had obviously hired the car for the bank holiday weekend (special rate) and were trying to get as much use out of it as possible. I really wanted to get out and say to the driver "Thats an absolutely gorgeous car you have there..... so just how much are they to hire??" ;-)
