My dad has an electric Mountfield, been used heavily between 3 houses for a few years now and still going strong.
We've just moved into a house that needed some serious cutting back. Saved loads of time with it, just spread the shredded stuff on the soil.
Has an auto reverse feature if you overload it, you can also put it in reverse manually. Shredder blade is fully adjustable so as it wears you can tweak it back up.
Think it was less than £200 from B&Q.

I think mine is an Alko one - bright yellow and black. Its a load of pish to be honest....if it jams up, you need to switch off and open it up to free the jam. Blades are mounted on the disc with silly allen bolts, the heads fill up with solidified sawdust, making dismantling to sharpen them that little bit harder.
I rarely use it tbh. Would not buy again, 3/10.

Have a bosh one can't remember exact model but middle of the road one, exceeded my expectations to be honest which rarely happens, dogged it out as did my neighbour and only clogged once when I let the bag over fill underneath it and had no where to go
