Default Held up by a 'bimbler' tonight

Driving a few miles home through the (60mph) countryside this evening in our 1.6 petrol Fiesta, I was held up by a big white Japanese sports car pootling along at 50mph maximum.

I could have overtaken him in a couple of places, but thought better of it.

The culprit? - A '63' reg GT-R...!

I suspect it was absolutely brand new and the chap was quite understandably taking it really steady while he got used to it on his drive home from the dealership.

Was I envious? Oh Yes! But I certainly enjoyed following him. Aren't their brake lights bright.

I hope he looks after it well, as I'm going to buy it in around fifteen years time once they get down to about £5000 (in my dreams).

The Fiesta's from 2010.

To be honest, after I posted this, I thought 'what was the point of that?', but it just amused me that it was a GT-R that was holding me up rather than the usual Honda Jazz or similar.

Well I found the post particularly interesting as I know the 1.6 Fiesta is a mean and sought after vehicle, especially the rare petrol version.

My only problem being that I am the only person on SN who hasn't a clue what a GT-R is

But I do know that '63 motors did have an "A" prefix as that is the year they started adding letters to number plates. Does that help?

My mate lives not far from you and has a brand new white one with a GTR number plate so keep your eyes out,, but you won't catch him driving like that as he has nearly 800bhp under his right foot and isn't afraid to use it
