Awwww. No idea, but I've never noticed this username post on NSR. What if he doesn't post on Scoobynet any more? Well, in that case, have you got his email? Do a search with his username, check his profile, just in case he's a real human with real email or even a Hotmail or a Gmail one. He may have an icon or two under his name with his email. Good luck.

I wouldn't know but I don't think gays come that cheap, Chip. I may be wrong, mind. But even real ****.... I mean a pack of 20 cigarettes is a bit more than 6 quid these days. I know that because you can see it in the shops. So glad I don't smoke no more.

Ok, just send it to him, then! Just send it to him and get it over with! Send it with a letter that you'll give him full refund if he's not happy with the fault which you were oblivious of; prior to offering it for sale. Do say 'sorry' in the letter as well.
Send him a pre-paid return postage stamps inside, in case he wants to return the item to you. If he decides to keep the trim, like a good guy, he'll post back your pre-paid return postage stamps with his own first class (or even second class) post.
If you don't get your unused return stamps back, don't regret, just forget about it. Just think you paid him with those stamps for drilling holes in his hopes for a perfect item he paid for. At the end of the day, you were oblivious of the fault in your good you sold. That does become your fault. You can bear the responsibility one way or the other as a good person.
Saying all that, I forgot to ask, do you actually have his address? If yes, do the good deed as the first paragraph of this post says. If not, hang on for another few hours for his private message to you. He may tell you to post it to him regardless. 6 quid and repairing the trim himself may be two pieces of p!ss to him. Then everyone will be happy.
Now wait for his PM patiently.

In case he is not receiving your PMs for any reason, I have also sent one, and posted a visitor message for him. Hopefully he'll reply.
If not, I'd be tempted to just send the piece of trim with a note explaining the situation (maybe reference this thread). At least, it proves you have tried to make contact to see what he wanted to do.
