I fancy a weeks break when I get back from work. I was thinking of going to Valancia or Barcelona, although I'd like to visit andalucia too and see Malaga and Granada among other places...lots of historic stuff down there.

I'm thinking all that will be too much for week as I want to chill out too. Might just hole up in Valancia and do some day trips down to the costa blanca. Alternatively, could do say 3 days in Barcelona and 4 in Valencia with a train ride in between.

Flights with Ryan Air are really cheap back the UK too which is good.

Anyone know these places?

Fly into valencia and hire a car to a place called Javea. It's a fantastic resort with some gorgeous restaurants and isn't a "typical" seaside resort full of English idiots!! It's only about an hour from Valencia and an hour from Benidorm if you want to have a couple of day trips out.

If you do go, visit a place called the Champagne Bar and try the disaster cocktail!!

I can't recommend anything tbh as we stayed at my friend's parents apartment, but everyone we spoke to said their hotel was fabulous.

It really is a great place. You might even be able to hire an apartment-have a look on expedia.
