ASA probes Home Office 'go home' van campaign
Oh dear, I knew this would end in tears. Especially when Clegg revealed that not one single Liberal Democrat cabinet minister had been asked about it before it happened. Even they would have pointed out it was at best a stupid idea
The problem is Cameron knows he is losing support from the grass roots Tory voters (less than 100K party members for the first time since the party was created) so keeps trying this sort of rhetoric to pander to them. It's not working in any sort of way!

Pathetic really, isn't it?
Not the message - have no real problem with that.
Pathetic because complainants worry that the claims may not be true!
Only this country...
Just wait until the Spaniards send one to Gibralter.

So it'll be true enough then, looks like the EU want to water down Britishness by making it's inhabitents EU citizens rather than Brits..

I am actually beginning to feel that Brown was a more capable person and for better reasons too.

Remember Cameron is fighting with one hand tied behind his back with Clugg and the Lib Dems tightening the knots.

I was going through passport control the other day and remarked to my wife how great the smaller European style passports are, compared to the old British "book" style ones, that needed a tweed jacket to really pull off
I wonder how many people who campaigned for the UK to keep them would really want them back now

True or not, I just can't get worked up about this sort of stuff, there is so much else in life to get worked up about

All he thinks is of importance is to ingratiate himself with other world leaders after all!

It used to feel like a publication which had a deal of importance behind it as befitted a passport for our country.
It was easy to feel proud to own one.

King Henry V of England is credited with having invented what some consider the first true passport, notwithstanding the earlier examples cited, as a means of helping his subjects prove who they were in foreign lands.[4]
