Scooby Owners - Fantastic!!
Hi Guys and Gals,
Just wanted to give a shout about the members of the club I'm a member of.
We were in the process of organising a meet/event along with Torbay Scoobies, but after getting things started my daughter was diagnosed with Leukaemia, so we dropped everything (work, the club etc) and headed to Bristol as it is our local Children's Specialist hospital. The meet was picked up by one of the members and before we knew it, the meet was dedicated to our daughter and to help raise funds for what we will need for her over the next 2 plus years of treatment. The event was a great success (obviously we couldn't be there)with 32 cars attending through the day, the convoy being spotted by a SN member https://www.scoobynet.com/was-it-you...-imprezas.html
This support was amazing given that the club has only been running for 3 months, most who attended we have only known since starting the club, many we've never even met!!! On top of this, one of the guys who took over organising the meet is now doing a sponsored cycle ride, again dedicated to our daughter!!!
We can't thank all of those involved enough, the level of support we have received has been ab
solutely unbelievable and truly humbling. Just shows that Scooby drivers aren't all chavy idiots and we are proud to be a part of this community!!!
We're still in Bristol for a while, but hope to be transferred back to Cornwall soon!!
Loads of pics of the day on this link, but if you look, please don't turn this into a flaming of any cars which aren't to taste! https://www.facebook.com/groups/Scoo...uClubCornwall/
Thanks for reading my inane whitterings.
Cheers, Lee
