F~~king Cyclists.
I am a cyclist so the title may be misleading. But bear with me on this one as it's something that you may also have witnessed recently.
There was a recent survey saying that motorists are to blame for accidents with cyclists, now I cannot comment as I have not had an accident but one or two close shaves whilst on my bike, but I have also been the victim of similar idiotic driving whilst in my car so I remain unbiased.
But what is really starting to **** me off are cyclist who flout the normal rules of the road. To date I have seen cyclists doing the following.
1. Driving through red lights.
2. Speaking on the mobile whilst cycling, no hands on the handle bars.
3. Texting whilst riding.
4. Driving over light controlled pedestrian crossing when pedestrians are crossing.
5. I even saw someone knocked over by a woman on a bike who just told the person they hit to "**** Off" then rode off, yes the cyclist was on the pavement.
6. Groups of cyclist riding 5 or 6 a breast in hugh groups round roads and lanes that are narrow, twisting and a bit twitchey in a car.
But they all seem to be lycra clad, wrap around shade wearing 30 something, Wiggins won-abe's! Don't get me wrong there are the "normal" cyclist out there but these other ******* are starting to twist my melon!
Is someone going to start sorting these **** ends out?

I do a lot of cycling and driving,I know where you're coming from. Add weaving around all over the road to your list!

Yes drivers go through read lights but if your in the front of a queue waiting at the lights in your car and a cyclist rides up and just ploughs on through a red light then no, f**k wits!

No five or six abreast a la Tor De France stylee causing hugh tailbacks and problems.

It could easily be a group of horses in front of you or something. Motorists don't have exclusive right of way you know? Many seem to think they do.
I'd be interested to see how many deaths are caused each year by motorists going though red lights vs cyclists?

Yep, and motorists get fined for doing it. As for riders going in to single file when the road gets narrow, I've yet to see it happen. These Wiggin's wanna be's are the most selfish of all road users in my opinion. Total disregard for other road users. Sweeping comment maybe, but I've NEVER seen a group of riders take in to account a fecking traffic jam behind them on a country lane and gone in to single file. Too busy daydreaming and pretending the are taking part in the tour...

I ride a lot but do see some terrible cycling going on.
I drive a lot but do see some terrible driving going on.
However I'm sure many of these road raging drivers are a lot less brave out of their tin boxes; when I confronted one, he appeared to almost wet himself.

Glad this has come up because I have a question.
The entrance to the local tesco is a small roundabout but its actually a slightly larger than normal T junction with the horizontal being the main road.
So I'm coming from tesco to the main road. Is ALL traffic supposed to stop from the left? I saw the cars stop, I carried on as normal and get waved and shouted at by a biker because I didn't give him enough room. A) he was moving so fast I didn't see him and B) should he have stopped? I thought he should.
Saw the same guy this morning taking pictures and limping at a very big roundabout just up from work. Really made me wonder who really was to blame for that but can guess it will be pinned on the car driver.

As a London pedestrian I completely agree with the OP, cyclists here seem to think there are no laws that govern them.
You're missing the point - red lights are not about stopping deaths (well, not exclusively), it's about managing traffic and providing safe crossings for pedestrians at light-controlled crossings - cars almost unanimously follow this, cyclists do not. If it knackers them out soo much to slow/stop for red lights, then they shouldn't be cycling.

I see stupid cyclists everyday in London. Yesterday saw an idiot on a Boris bike run a red light, through crossing pedestrians, across a major cross road and then proceed to go down on the wrong side of the road towards oncoming traffic narrowly missing a double decker bus. Majority do obey the rules of the road but there's not been a day where I've not witnessed cyclist doing something stupid or illegal.

All it takes is a reasonable attitude on both sides.
Cyclists should bw aware of the average speed differential between cars and 'bikes and be prepared to give a car driver the room he may need to get through traffic etc. Car drivers should take extra care near cyclists and give them as much room as possible when on the same piece of road.
A bit of give and take in both respects does an awful lot for safe behaviour.

At least we pay for the privilege

I'd like to know how the increasing number of impatient drivers deal with somebody riding a horse on the road, does the horse rider get the horn blowing and verbal abuse
Yes I'm a cyclist and yes I've witnessed poor riding but on the flip side I also drive a car and have seen way more idiots behind the wheel of a car.
I generally ride in a group of four, two abreast where conditions allow, even singled out we've still had abuse
Also most of my riding is in the countryside therefore avoiding most idiots in cars

Some idiots in cars still believe they have right of way over a pedestrian.... hit one and see who gets charged by the police....
