Default Classic TV programmes that never age.

I love the old classics like Only Fools And Horses and Fawlty Towers etc, you can watch them over and over again even though you know whats going to happen.

Ive just watched Porridge the full series over a few weeks, you don't realise how good that series was. As comedy series go they blow away virtually everything thats on offer these days, they deffo don't make em like they used too.

I can't stand Porridge. I guess I'm not old enough.

I find Dad's Army funny though.

Ivor the Engine (and I'm not joking - it's wonderful).

The Sweeney (obviously seventies, but tremendously downbeat).

Father Ted (recent, but genius).

I've been watching Married With Children boxsets recently, really funny wee show.

I love blackadder, dad's army, porridge etc etc but I always disliked Only Fools and Horses. Don't think it ever made me laugh.

An old one closing is as good as a new one opening. So they say of course;

Carry on films

From more recent times

Only fools and horses is a classic, I've watched them all dozens of times and have them on my sky planner as well lol

I used to get stopped all the time in supermarkets and asked if I was Nicholas lyndhurst's (Rodney) son lol

I do look a bit like him though lol

Yes Mnister, the clothes and decor may have changed but surprisingly the issues (ID cards, nuclear weapons, unions, EU, etc.) are still the same bloody issues 30 years later!

Find that it's predictable American humour! You can see the joke coming a mile off!

You can't beat:

Only Fools & Horses
Porridge
Blackadder
Red Dwarf
Fawlty Towers
Open All Hours

I'm 32 so by no means 'old' but grew up on these - British Comedy is definitely the best in the world.

From the new stuff: Inbetweeners, Freshmeat and american stuff like Big Bang Theory, Cleveland Show

I certainly like watching most of them again. Our comedy in this country is of a high standard.

I love Friends – can honestly say I have never seen a episode that didn’t make me chuckle. Not really that old though and probably appeals to a younger demographic not the average age of 50 on SN

Only Fools & Horses is legend. David Jason was made to play Delboy. Stayed with my Dad last weekend and he stuck on the Jolly Boys Outing episode where they all take a coach down to Margate for a beano (**** up for me and anyone else not old enough to know that term) and get stranded overnight. One of my fave episodes as has pretty much all the characters involved.
