Racing Simulator - How to ?
Hello there,
I've had the idea of a semi-blown racing simulator .. but how do i go about the logistics of it?
Can these be bought of the shelf ? Can i swap different games ? Will it be the same dynamics but different tracks ?
What will power it ? is PC best ? Screens ? Realistic cost ?
I'd appreciate a step for hint ? It would be something me & my teenage son could have a blast on.
TIA

It really depends on what sort of simulation you are after.
If you want a bit of fun bashing about on GT5 or Forza, then you can pick up wheel/pedal sets relatively cheaply, or have it integrated into a racing seat, and will be a high likelyhood that it'll work for other games on that console.
If you want true realism, I'd recommend www.iracing.com (PC desktop only) which REQUIRES a steering wheel minimum - it's pretty hardcore and a subscription-based service.
With both, usually the wheel/pedals will work on multiple games, but it's a matter of choosing the games you want to play first, then finding what hardware the game supports, rather than the other way around.
