i remember this

it was the one with the plane left for a long time on the runway in very very hot weather, which caused the fuel to vaporise (i think)

If true that the holes contained traces of explosives, then you've got a lot of explaining to do right there, as it would seem like the fuel tank explosion theory is immediately invalidated

I remember watching all about this crash on Air Accident Investigation on Discovery. I remember that in that documentary there were eyewitnesses that insisted they saw an object/missile travelling towards the plane but they were basically told they didn't see what they thought they saw. There was also a US navy vessel in the area at the time if I remember correctly that was suspected of possibly launching a missile but once again it was said it was all rubbish. Maybe it wasn't all rubbish after all. Scary stuff.
